We use average market rates for materials and labor, updated regularly from trusted suppliers and industry benchmarks. However, actual costs may vary due to:

• Seasonal fluctuations in raw material prices

• Site-specific challenges (soil condition, accessibility, weather)

2. What costs are included in the estimate?

Your estimate covers:

• Material costs (cement, steel, bricks/blocks, sand, plumbing, electrical, flooring, paint, windows, doors, etc.)

• Labor costs for all key trades (masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, finishing)

• Optional GST on materials (currently 18%)

• Optional contingency buffer (5% to cover unforeseen expenses)

The tool breaks these down category by category so you can see where your money goes.

3. What is NOT included in the estimate?

The calculator does not include:

• Land purchase cost

• Legal & government approval fees

• Architect/structural engineering consultancy charges

• Interior décor, furniture, and appliances

• Landscaping, compound walls, or additional outbuildings

These are often project-specific and vary widely.

4. How is the labor cost calculated?

Labor cost is based on:

• House size (per square foot)

• Finish type (Budget, Standard, Premium — higher finish = more skilled labor & time)

• City category (Tier-1 metro, Tier-2 average, Tier-3 small town — labor rates vary with location)

We also factor in a city multiplier to adjust rates according to your local labor market.

5. How often are the material prices updated?

We aim to refresh pricing monthly or sooner if market volatility is high.
Our rates come from:

• Direct supplier price lists

• Wholesale market trends

• Industry reports
  If a major price change occurs (e.g., cement price hike), we update immediately to keep estimates relevant.

6. Can I customize the material brand or quality?

Yes!
The current calculator shows average prices by category, but you can:

• Select Budget, Standard, or Premium finish levels

• Adjust specific material brands in a custom mode (coming soon)

• Request a custom estimate via our expert team, specifying brands like ACC cement, Tata Tiscon steel, Kajaria tiles, etc.​
